Research Technician
Are you a hands-on laboratory professional with a passion for cutting-edge cancer research? Join the Schumacher Cancer Immunology group and contribute to the development of innovative technologies that advance our understanding of how the immune system recognizes and attacks cancer cells. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with state-of-the-art molecular and cellular techniques to help drive discoveries that may shape the future of cancer immunotherapy.
As a Research Technician in the Cancer Immunology group, you will be directly involved in the use and development of advanced high-throughput T-cell receptor (TCR) sequencing methods and cell-based screening assays to uncover which T-cell receptors recognize specific (cancer) epitopes. Our technology-driven approach combines molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry and cell sorting, antigen recognition assays, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) to address fundamental questions in cancer immunology.
In this role, you will:
Perform a wide range of wet-lab experiments, including molecular biology techniques (RT, PCR, single-cell technologies, sequencing), cell culture, and functional screening assays;
Play an integral role in our research projects, working closely with colleagues in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team;
Help maintain smooth laboratory operations by carrying out routine laboratory tasks and managing supplies;
Generate, process, analyze, and interpret your own laboratory data.
