Technician - Biotech Booster Project

The ENRICH_SARCOMA Biotech Booster team at the Netherlands Cancer Institute is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic technician with a strong commitment to science and solid expertise in cell culture and mouse models of cancer. Experience with radiobiological assays is a plus. ENRICH_SARCOMA aims to develop a new way to make sarcoma tumors more sensitive to radiotherapy, delivering sufficient preclinical evidence to warrant the start of clinical testing of our lead compound MITX-101.

In this position you will:

• Use colony formation assays;

• Apply flow cytometry;

• Work with subcutaneous sarcoma mouse models;

• Conduct CT-guided radiotherapy.

• A Bachelor’s degree in laboratory sciences, experimental animal sciences or related field

• You can work independently as well as in collaboration with others in an international team

• Fluent in English

Your development opportunities and employment conditions

The basis for your employment conditions is in accordance with the CLA Hospitals. You will receive from us:

• A temporary contract for a period of two years, for 36 hours per week

• A gross monthly salary between € 3.102,- and € 4.177,-, based on a 36-hour working week, in line with FWG45 and depending on your experience;

• 144 holiday hours and 57 hours of Personal Life Budget, with full-time employment;

• Annual holiday pay of 8.33% and a fixed end-of-year bonus of 8.33%;

• A travel allowance of €0.23 per km;

• Free parking at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. And with our bicycle plan and discount on public transport we also make it attractive for you to leave the car at home;
