Research Technician - Developing and optimizing inhibitors for next-generation immuno-oncology

Although immuno-oncology (IO) clinical strategies unleashing T cell immunity have significantly improved the oncology landscape, many patients do not show durable benefit. We have recently identified a protein, inhibition of which greatly sensitizes tumor cells to T cell-mediated killing. In this project, we aim to translate this finding to a preclinical setting. To expedite clinical translation, we recently launched an NKI spinoff company.

This project will be a collaboration between the Peeper lab and the spinoff company. It is funded by Health Holland and serves to build a translational bridge between academia and biotech, aiming to bring findings from the laboratory to the clinic. Experiments will include in vitro and in vivo studies on the effect of selected precision medicines in an immunotherapy setting.

Jouw profiel

A highly motivated technician with mouse model experience.

We are seeking a highly committed technician who has expertise in both molecular biology and mouse experiments. With a considerable degree of independence, you will work together with a small team of researchers. You will also contribute to the organization of the lab in general.

For this position it is essential that you hold a license for working with laboratory animals (art. 12 or 9). Proficiency in English and good communicative skills are important requirements as well, as is a team player mentality.

The vacancy is available immediately. You will be employed for a period of at least 2 years. The gross salary per month ranges from € 2.251 to € 3.664 according to the FWG-function group 45/50, and depends on previous experience. The terms of employment will be in accordance with the CAO Hospitals.
